I’m a Richmond, Virginia mom of 3, 2 teens ages 16 and 18, and a 20 year old college student. My life is busy with dead frogs in my carpet, kids who do “no wrong” (ahem) playing chauffeur to a horse, puking dogs and cats and the occasional overpriced, undercooked lunch with friends. It’s enough to make me snuggle up in my slanket and watch Lifetime Specials all day long. In my spare time, I enjoy testing out gadgets (I’m quite the junkie), making my self look like Carmen Electra with Photoshop and Picnik, and digital scrapbooking so I leave my kids with more than a blog as a keeper of memories.

I’m an accountant by trade, but landed into blogging and social media, and became a quick addict like everyone else! I currently write for my primary blog Short Pump Preppy, am the Entertainment (Buzz) Editor for BlissfullyDoemstic.com and run the BlissfullyDomestic social community. I am also launching Richmondmombloggers.com to connect with the local mom bloggers in my area.

So looking for the next Barbara Walters? Well I’m not quite THAT old, and I don’t have her sexy accent, but I do want to get to the meat of Behind The Scenes. And I’ll try to skip the crying part, though if you want to throw that in for effect that would be great! This new passion, BTS Moms, is probably the most exciting venture so far, combining all forms of social media into one. Look out for the Flip, coming your way!

Ah – what do you really want to know about Janine? I love my first name. Say it with a French accent and you’ll see why. I’m also a mom of 6-year old twin girls, which brings with it a lot of responsibility, drama, and neuroses. I am also very inquisitive which drives my husband nuts. I love interviewing famous people, and sometimes I catch them off-guard, or they catch me.

I have a background in marketing and use that in my ‘real’ job – they are fully aware of my search for fortune and fame. You can find me blogging about my twins and working my mojo for Frigidaire as a Test Drive mom on TwoferMom.com. I also offer my infinite wisdom (unsolicited advice) as the twins/multiples editor of TypeAMom.net and I contribute to the Entertainment channel of BlissfullyDomestic.com.

Why Behind the Scenes Moms? I had the opportunity to use my Flip to interview a number of people and caught the bug. I like to ask the questions people want to really know the answers too. I like to find out what really makes that person, event, or brand tick. But I like to keep it short and sweet…unless there’s a glass of wine involved.
